Bustryk is a picturesque settlement nestled among the hills of the Gubałowskie Range, 1012 metres above the sea level. The village is only 9 km far from Zakopane, and just 5 km from the famous Gubałówka’s peak.

The place is perfect for tourism, hiking and skiing – in the area there are five ski slopes with lifts in operation. Moreover, one can find here a number of bicycle paths and routes.

The inhabitants’ main occupation is farming – Bustryk boasts the biggest sheep flock in the neighbouring area (Poronin district). Apart from agriculture, handicraft is a part-time job of local people. The examples of folk art can be purchased directly from the artisans in many houses.
Not far from us, there is a wide range of shops and restaurants available. If anyone fancies some fresh milk or cheese, why not buy it directly from the farmers?

Bustryk is intersected by The Pope’s Route, the famous road which was taken in June 1997 by John Paul II, the Pilgrim of our times, on his way from Krzeptówki to LudĽmierz.
